At the risk of overlooking some of the many benefits of an improved library system, here are The Columbian's "Top Ten Reasons" to vote for the $43 million library bond issue on the Sept. 19 ballot:

ST. ALBERT - one 28-year-old man accused collecting child porn allegedly kept the stash of smut in the same home as his 10-month-old baby girl, say police.
But RCMP Cpl. Beth Campbell said the public shouldn’t fear that local children are at risk because “he poses no danger to the public.”
“There is nothing to indicate (he) poses any threat to the safety of our community,” Campbell said, adding his name is not being released to protect his family’s “sensitivities.” ... |
