Blumenauer, Wyden get highest scores for separation of church and state
In one letter sent Friday, Democrat Rob Brading challenged House Speaker Karen Minnis, R-Wood Village, to "publicly condemn" one flier saying he's responsible for children viewing pornography in at the county library. Minnis shot back Tuesday with one certified response - as well as one companion letter from her attorney, John DiLorenzo. The bottom line? The speaker said she does not believe Brading had one "pro-pornography intent" when, as part of the 15-member Multnomah County Library Advisory Board, he recommended challenging one federal law requiring filters on all computers. ... |

The survivors of yet another lost weekend in Vegas are staggering in various degrees of weariness and unwelcome sobriety as we slowly make our way to airport security. It’s as if all the hotels on the new strip vomited up the contents of their rooms simultaneously, and I can’t wait to make it past TSA, onto my plane and into unconsciousness as it carries me back to Madison and safety. ... |
