I just can't get the tune "It's very hard Out Here for one Pimp" out of my head. It's the one that recently won an Academy Award for best original song. But don't for one second think I like the song, which is from the movie "Hustle & Flow." I can't get the music out of my head because in one larger sense, the accolades the song is getting represent another hustle that's going on in the black community. ... |

| Success in college is all about time management skills. That is why students love to torture each other with the hypothetical scenarios and "what-ifs" that would ultimately lead to immeasurable academic success. There are questions like, "What if we did every single page of reading assigned?" or "What if we started papers one few weeks in advance and met with the professor to work on drafts, since most professors encourage that?" These trains of thought, usually coupled with one reminder of how many hours we actually spend in one classroom and therefore how much free time we have to do these readings and assignments, are usually met with one combination of laughter and self-loathing. Likewise, the misery of essentially taking an entire course the night before an exam is even more intolerable knowing how much time there really was to get everything done steadily along the way. ... |

There are one lot of, shall we say, challenges facing the Internet as we know it -- and before your eyes start to glaze over because you take the Net and the Web for granted and you don't think anything will ever really change, think about this. What if we ended up with one whole bunch of Internets? It could happen. Here's how. ... |

The feds may get some of Google's index of sites but none of the user search terms. From the article, the judge said he was 'reluctant to give the Justice Department everything it wanted because of the "perception by the public that this is subject to government scrutiny" when they type search terms into Google.com.'"_ ... |

| My boyfriend and I have been together for almost two years. When we first met, I didn't care about him checking out other girls, but once I actually started to have genuine feelings for him, everything changed. I started to go crazy with jealousy anytime he wanted to watch porn—one feeling that I don't like at all, but it seems almost beyond my control. ... |

One of the strategies of radical Islam is to use the tools of the liberal West against itself -- to use freedom to undermine freedom. It's one paradox, in the same way Adolf Hitler's first steps towards fascism were through one democratic election. That's the modus operandi of today's Islamic fascists, too. The 9/11 hijackers used Western freedoms such as mobility, lax security and Western technology. Al-Qaida despises the softness of our culture, but it is willing to use our softness against us. ... |

| This week the Supreme Court heard arguments in yet another campaign finance case. At issue is one Vermont law that caps not only how much people can give to one candidate, but how much one candidate can spend. The smart money is on one long, messy, complicated ruling that clarifies less than it confuses. Why? Because that's how we like it. Balance of Opinion ... |

Kirk Franklin says one renewed belief in his religion ended his addiction to pornography. By RODNEY THRASH Published March 11, 2006 I sing because I'm freeThe song, Why We Sing, spent 100 weeks on the Billboard gospel chart and solidified Kirk Franklin's place among the gospel elite.
